We are a community of ordinary people from all walks of life courageously trusting Jesus to do the extraordinary. Simply put, we’re trusting Him to do what we can’t – heal, transform, renew, forgive, provide and sustain.
The vision of Mariners South County is to serve the communities of South Orange County in new and bigger ways by equipping and sending out church leaders to transform our county.
Erin Kerr will serve as lead pastor of the Next Mariners Church, which is slated for its soft launch worship night on September 30, followed by monthly worship previews on October 21, November 25 and December 23, followed by a grand opening service in January 2019.
Our prayer is that 250 will people make a 6-12 month commitment to being part of the next season of Mariners Church in South County by praying, serving, attending and giving.
Meet the Kerr family
Erin & Joy
They jokingly call themselves “TEAM KERR” because that’s how they approach life and ministry. God has truly brought them together to serve as lifelong partners on God’s mission.
Erin is a courageous pastoral leader, who seeks to love people wherever they are on their faith journey. He has a track record of dynamic leadership and gifted preaching, launching new ministries, and equipping teams who seek to fearlessly change the world together.
Erin loves spending time with his beautiful wife Joy and three daughters. When he isn’t enjoying family time, he’s consuming too much coffee, trying to fit in a CrossFit workout of the day and praying a little too hard for his Dallas Cowboys to rise out of mediocrity.
Joy is a committed wife, mother, and ministry leader who earned her bachelors degree from Biola University. She has extensive ministry experience having served at multiple churches, in a range of roles. Joy is a disciple maker with a love for small groups, serving women, prayer, and gathering people together. She loves all things music, dancing, and Zumba.
