A church for imperfect people on a journey of healing and restoration

We are a community of ordinary people from all walks of life courageously trusting Jesus to do the extraordinary. Simply put, we’re trusting Him to do what we can’t – heal, transform, renew, forgive, provide and sustain.

Mariners Mission Life is one of two church plants launching from established Mariners South County, an independent, fully self-sustained member of the Mariners family of churches.

Erin Kerr, Lead Pastor of Mariners Mission Life, and his wife Joy jokingly call themselves “TEAM KERR” because that’s how they approach life and ministry. God has truly brought them together to serve as lifelong partners on God’s mission.

Erin is a courageous pastoral leader, who seeks to love people wherever they are on their faith journey. He has a track record of dynamic leadership and gifted preaching, launching new ministries, and equipping teams who seek to fearlessly change the world together.

Erin loves spending time with his beautiful wife Joy and three daughters. When he isn’t enjoying family time, he’s consuming too much coffee, trying to fit in a CrossFit workout of the day and praying a little too hard for his Dallas Cowboys to rise out of mediocrity.

Joy Kerr is a committed wife, mother, and ministry leader who earned her bachelors degree from Biola University. She has extensive ministry experience having served at multiple churches, in a range of roles. Joy is a disciple maker with a love for small groups, serving women, prayer, and gathering people together.  She loves all things music, dancing, and Zumba.

Kecia Jones, Mariners Kids Pastor, has served in a range of youth-driven ministries in leadership roles with High School, Junior High and Children’s ministries of all shapes and sizes. Mariners Mission Life is Kecia’s second church plant endeavor and she loves witnessing God at work through people during this unique season in a church. Kecia enjoys working alongside a team of loving volunteers to help young families and leading them into a deeper relationship with Jesus.

She and her husband Jeff have three grown kids. She loves hanging out with family and friends – especially when someone else cooks (God bless whoever invented Postmates and Grubhub!)
